Howdy!  It's been awhile, I know.  I just got so burned out on house projects that I've had nothing to blog about.

Saturday night we went up to Big Bear for the night to celebrate our friend's birthday.  Of course we had to wear costumes what with Halloween around the corner.

 I borrowed the corset from my friend and picked up the ears/tail/bow tie combo at Target for a whopping $5.  They had a costume contest at Chad's Place and wouldn't you know it, I made the top 5!  Woohoo!  I think I got there based on personality and boobies. haha

Needless to say, we had a blast.  I even had some drunk lady fondle my butt and tell Daniel how lucky he is. LOL  This mother of two has still got it. ;)

Happy Monday, y'all!  That's such an oxymoron isn't it? lol  I trust you all had a wonderful weekend.  I sure did.

First of all, last Thursday I won the new The Band Perry CD on Go Country 105.1.  Woohoo! I never win anything!  Also, I'm entered to win a trip to LONDON to see them in concert.  The drawing is tomorrow.  Pray for us!  Daniel and I are sure we will win and are therefore already emotionally invested. lol  

On Friday night we had what I have dubbed, "Super Fun Night" with the boys.   The whole thing was a surprise and it couldn't have gone better.

The kids were thrilled and they absolutely loved the chili in a bread bowl.  They'd never had it before.  I also made these adorable witch hat cookies that I found on Pinterest (of course).


So simple and cute.  The kids said, "You are the best parents in the galaxy!"  Yay us! haha  After dinner we watched Coraline which none of us had ever seen before.  We really liked the movie, but lemme tell ya it is CREEPY! lol  I didn't realize it till after we rented it and I looked it up online that it's considered "Horror/Fantasy".  Not sure I would have rented it if I'd known ahead of time, but it turned out great.

Saturday after soccer we took the boys to Tom's Farm in Corona where they had a Civil War reenactment!  It was free which didn't hurt...  It was pretty darn cool!  We even met Abe Lincoln.

A wonderful (cheap) family weekend.In other news, I earned a penny so far from the advertising I put on my blog!  Yahoo! LOL  Things are looking up. ;)

I am writing this post out of pure unadulterated BOREDOM!!!  Seriously, such a slow boring day at work!  Also, it's been awhile since I've posted.  I have to admit that I'm burned out on all my DIY-ing for the moment.  I still haven't fine tuned my "Revolutionary Pelmet Boxes", so I have one still up and two kicking it in the living room.  One is on the floor still. lol  I just haven't had the energy to work on them.  Sorry about it! 

Meanwhile, here is what's been going down.  Dylan decided to exfoliate with the asphalt...

 As he told people at church last Sunday, "My face fell on the ground."  LOL Poor baby.  On the bright side, he can be Mike Tyson for Halloween... Actually, not really, the scab is almost gone already!  Thank God.

Out of sheer desperation, possibly a stroke of genius, I decided to let Jack draw a town for his Lego fireman on the leftover cardboard from my pelmet boxes.  Dan and I were watching football and the kiddos were bored.  I saw a sign on Pinterest that said "This marriage has been interrupted due to football."  We could say, "Parenting has been interrupted due to football." JK!  Anyway, once he finished creating "JACKsonville" we all helped out coloring it in.  It was really fun for all.  Gotta love free entertainment!

Monday's totally suck but when you wake up to that view... I mean, come on!  Loves it!  God does some amazing work with nature.  Say what you will about Lake Elsinore, aka "Lake Smellsomemore", but I absolutely love where we live.  It really feels like we live away from it all.

Last night was rough with the kids.  From the time I picked them up after work to the time they went to bed, they whined, complained and talked-back NON STOP.  We could not say one thing without commentary.  We were ripping our hair out.  The only bright spot was when Stella jumped up on my back and I had the goofy idea to do a Conga line.  The kids ate it up.
