Happy Friday! Yahoo for a week of paid vacation!  Beyond excited.  So that means I won't be posting any blog entries till at least July 9th when I get back to work.  No computer at home. :(  But anyhoo.... about that shame report...

An act of God made me binge eat Thursday night.  It was out of my control, I swear!  Ladies... you know what I'm talkin' bout.  I started off okay.  6 inch tuna sandwich on wheat from Subway,  I get it plain too, but immediately after it was consumed I was starving again!  So I went home and made myself a jack cheese quesadilla using one whole wheat tortilla.  Again, not soooo bad.  Then I had a piece of pizza.  And honestly it was tiny too but yeah, eating all three together... That was a problem.  In the vein of honesty, I'll admit that it had a seriously bad effect on my weight.  Last night I weighed in at... oh God I really don't want to tell you... *sigh* 137!!!!!  Gah!!! Talk about a shame spiral!  This morning I was back down to 133, thank the Lord.  So today I am being strict.  We did work out last night and I rode my bike to work today for the 3rd time this week.  Our parents are coming over tonight for dinner to celebrate my birthday.  I'm having chicken and by God,  I will not have cake and ice cream.  So at this point it doesn't look like I'll reach my goal of being under 130 by 30.  I'd have to lose 3 lbs by tomorrow morning.  I guess it could  happen, but I'm not getting my hopes up.  The good news is we're just over halfway done with our 90 day challenge so I'm confident I can reach the mid 120's by the end.  I just gotta get back into gear.  Beast mode. ;)

That dress is a size four and I still have it.  (I was hoping to have a daughter to pass it down to but that didn't happen)  Out of curiosity I tried it on this morning and guess what!  It fits!!!

I think it looks even better now, in fact, since I have curves!  Now I just need to find an opportunity to wear it out somewhere.  Anyone throwing a gala? LOL

And what a happy Monday it is!

No, not really. lol  Nothing bad has happened, I'm just feeling... Meh.  You know how it is.  Bored at work.  However it could be worse like my friend Courtney who impaled her hand on a note spike this morning.  Ouchy.  So I guess I can't really complain. 

Friday was awesome!  We had a crawfish boil and campout at our friends house.  The boys got to swim and we cooked and had a wonderful time.  I liked the crawfish but they're kind of a pain to eat.  Tasted yummy tho.  We ordered the little suckers from the Louisiana Crawfish Company in... you guessed it, Louisiana!  You should check out their site, it's pretty cool what you can get delivered.  They were alive too!

Last week I hit a goalpost on my diet which was getting into the 120's.  I was 129.8 last Thursday.  Yahoo!  Now if I could only stay there! lol  I'm 130 even this morning which isn't bad considering the weekends are usually mean and Monday's weigh-ins are usually way higher than Fridays.  Also considering the fact that I had a sliver (seriously it shouldn't even count as a slice) of pizza at Tom's Farms yesterday... and a tiny bowl of ice cream.  But but but... um... my sister in law was visiting from up north with my nieces so I just had to celebrate with yummy food!!  Are you convinced? Yeah, me neither.  Okay! So I broke down, I admit it.  I still did my shakes for breakfast and lunch though so I'm sure that helped.  Only 5 days till D-Day, which is to say my 30th birthday.  Gotta work out like a monster this week and get down a few more lbs.  Ah, the dream of actually residing in the 120's is within my reach!!! 

Motivation!!!  And no I still haven't cleaned my scale.

Hey guys!
    Soooo I'm out of product (Body by Visalus). Gah!  My shipment isn't going out until tomorrow either!  I haven't had a shake since Sunday but luckily my weight hasn't gone up.  Bad time to take last week off of working out after being so unhealthy on our Palm Springs trip.  We finally started working out again last night though.  We lifted weights (and yes I mean on a weight bench with a big ol' pole with weights on it) and then we did our ab routine which I got from Pinterest.  Here's that link: http://pinterest.com/pin/30047522486583392/  It seems simple enough but boy it gets pretty hard on the 3rd rep.  My abs are nice and sore today too.  Oh it hurts so good. ;)  And we've been staying pretty active too, pulling weeds, going for walks, etc.  We took the boys and Presley the dog to the park up the hill from us, which is a really great hike.  This picture was taken by my 5 year old, Dylan.

I think he may have a future in photography! He got my good angle. ;)

Can't wait to get my product. :(  I'm eating a banana for breakfast this week and having a small salad for lunch.  I'm being a little more strict on my dinners until I get my shakes too, just in case.  Don't wanna back-slide!  Meanwhile, I've gotten 3 more people signed up for the Challenge so far and I can't wait to see their journeys!!!  Go people, go! ;)

Happy Tuesday to you!

Got back from Palm Springs Sunday evening and the most important thing we learned is that we can't hang like we used to. lol  At least I  can't.  I was in bed before 11 pm both Friday and Saturday night.  What a loser. haha  The one club we went to didn't even open till 10 and I was in bed by 11 so you do the math... 

The pool was amazing though.  Can't complain about lounging in the pool with a cocktail in hand.

Awe, aren't we cute. ;)  The bartender took pity on me trying to take an arm-length pic and was kind enough to offer to take one for us.

And for all the partying we can't do, we sure as hell can get up at 6 am the next morning and piss our roommate Bill off. lol "Dammit you guys, are you serious right now?." So we took our incapable of sleeping in if we tried butts for a nice long walk before we forced Samantha to get ready for Pinocchio's.  She's a trooper though. We let Bill sleep... ;) 

If you've never been to Palm Springs, Pinocchio's is this great little restaurant that has bottomless champagne for $3.95, so it's our go-to brunching spot when we're in town of course.

Ooh! I almost forgot, President Obama was in town and though we didn't see him we did see a couple Secret Servicemen!  So exciting. ;)  That was on our way to dinner Saturday night.  Dinner was eventful too...  Some old people complained about us being too loud and instead of politely asking us to keep it down, our server (apropos of nothing, mind you) says as he's pouring our waters, "My manager was getting ready to kick you guys out, but I told him not to."  Really dude??  I may have had a bit too much wine at this point and I may have been a little unnecessarily angry and may have said some things about this old lady that I regret.  I can't even repeat it, it was so messed up.  Samantha's mouth dropped open at my nerve.  I'm not proud of it!  So, sorry old cranky lady at Sammy G's... I didn't mean it.  I don't really hope you die. Oops! Well now you know...

For the record, this is us at the bar at said restaurant.  We did try to sit in the bar which was probably a better fit for our boisterous group but the waitress was horribly slow so we opted for the main dining room.

But enough about Shmolly... (that's my drunk name)  Let's talk about what this trip did for my diet! lol  I did gain 5 lbs but I'm not surprised and I'm sure it'll fall off once we get back into our routine.  We're gonna work out tonight and we did start back up on our shakes yesterday.  All in all I'm pretty happy that that's all I gained since we were in no way dieting during our trip.  Now it's back on the wagon and ready to smash my under 130 lbs before 30 goal.

I'm so excited this morning.  I teased y'all on Facebook yesterday that I'd be posting some of our results today and I am!  I'm very happy with myself after just 4 weeks of our 90 day Body by Visalus challenge.  To start things off, a reminder, I was at 140 lbs when we started this journey.  This morning I was... *drumroll*

132.8! Yahoo!!!!

So I'm gonna round down (cuz why not) and say I've lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks!  I couldn't ask for more in such a short time period, honestly.

Eeek! I'm so excited for the before/after (for now) pics!!!  So here ya go...

I dunno about you  but I feel like I look more "fit" in the after.  Turns out, working out plus eating well really makes a difference!  Who knew? ;)  Nothing like some good results to motivate someone too, am I right??  I'm pumped!

Now for those size 4 jeans... Not there yet, buuuut I can tell I'm making headway!

We're both really happy with our results thus far.  I cannot, I repeat, CANNOT wait to see us after 90 days!!!  We're heading to Palm Springs tomorrow afternoon to have an early celebration weekend for my 30th birthday.  Ooh, remember my biggest goal was to be under 130 lbs by my 30th birthday?  Well that's in 3 weeks and I think I'm totally on track to smash that goal!  Hopefully we don't completely blow it in Palm Sprizzle. ;)

Howdy!
    Our garage sale happened on Saturday as I had hoped.  I got up at 5 am to start getting stuff in the driveway.  I was one sleepy mama by 1pm let me tell ya.  Daniel was awesome enough, even though it was not his idea of a good time to have a garage sale, to help me set everything up.  He even did some weed whacking while I sat there and waited patiently for takers.

Exciting stuff. LOL  None of the tons of books *cough "lady porn" cough cough* from my mother sold. Not a single one! I was surprised.  Apparently no one was interested in such gripping novels as "How to Seduce a Proper Gentleman" and the like.  Luckily my neighbor Nancy had a great place to donate them so she scored the lot for free.  We sat out there till about 10am then packed up what we didn't sell.  We ended up with almost $70 though, and got rid of a bunch of junk so I'd call it a success! :D 

I was much better on my diet this weekend than over the holiday weekend, thankfully.  I was only up a little less than a pound than I was on Friday so that's pretty great for me.  Weekends are usually my downfall.  And don't think I didn't think about going to Carl's Jr. either! LOL But we resisted the temptation.  The dumb thing we do is watch Diners Drive-Ins and Dives while we're sitting there starving. Not smart. LOL  We did do our exercises too so that was good.  Tonight we're lifting weights and doing our ab routine.  Tomorrow is cardio.  Only 4 and 1/2 days till our Palm Springs trip so we're gonna hit it hard!  My friend Samantha who is going too, is like muscles on a stick so I gotta try my best to not look like a complete slob next to her in her teeny tiny bikini. haha  The good news is, I've been really happy with my progress lately and even though the scale is not where I would like it to be, I feel like my body looks a lot better.  I don't think I'll have anything to worry about come Friday. ;)
